It all adds up. Over £1900 raised for Macmillan through Care UK Health Care sites!
Throughout September, many of Care UK’s sites joined in with fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £1900 for the cause. Here are some of their stories:
The Junction Health Centre – Coffee morning and 10K walk
“We would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who supported and participated in our Macmillan coffee morning and fundraiser walk; thanks to you, these events were a success.
“With the sun in our eyes, we had an impressive turnout of 34 participants and a guest appearance from The Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Leslie McDonnell.
“With your support we managed to raise £1245.04.”
Care UK Healthcare, Hawker House – Coffee morning
“A massive thank you to everyone who donated to Macmillan Cancer Support at our Hawker House coffee morning and a special thank you to our bakers for donating and sharing their lovely cakes.
“Together we managed to raise a sweet £65.27.”
Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre – Coffee morning
“I am very proud of my team. They are dedicated, hardworking healthcare professionals, administrators, cleaners and caterers, yet they find the time to organise events that raise money for worthwhile charities that carry out important work, research and support.”
They managed to raise £267 through their event.
Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre – Coffee morning
Team members such as nurses, theatre technicians, hotel services staff and consultant surgeons at Shepton Mallet took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning keen to raise money.
Their efforts raised a fantastic £88.
Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre – Coffee morning
“A big thank you to everyone who supported us and our coffee morning.
“We are delighted to report that we raised £123.66 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.”
Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre – Coffee morning
Their tempting bakes went down a storm raising £64.15 for the cause.
Will Adams NHS Treatment Centre – Coffee morning
Staff at Will Adams added an extra ingredient to their coffee morning with a good old fashioned game of ‘pin the cherry on the cake’ for £2 a go.
Through their event, they raised a cherry topping £85.50.
