We welcome visits from groups

From taking a look at an operating theatre to informative talks from clinical professionals, many people welcome the chance to visit and find out more about a hospital before they need to visit out of necessity.

That is why Southampton NHS Treatment Centre is inviting local groups to get in touch and arrange visits to the hospital for their members.

In charge of organising the visits to Southampton NHS Treatment Centre is Jason White. He said: “Coming to hospital for treatment can be an anxious experience, which is why we are actively encouraging local groups to get in touch to arrange visits. Not only can a visit allay any fears, but it can also be a great opportunity to ask questions, satisfy your curiosity about what goes on behind the scenes, and get the latest ideas on health and treatment from our first-class clinicians.”

A community group from Townhill recently visited the hospital. Group organiser Jenny Haines commented: “We a really grateful to the team at Southampton NHS Treatment Centre for showing us around and we will certainly spread the word about what the hospital can do.” One lady from Townhill, who had been treated at Southampton NHS Treatment Centre, said: “I was treated like a queen when I came here for my knee replacement!”

Southampton NHS Treatment Centre provides day case and inpatient surgery to NHS patients across Hampshire and the South Coast and focuses on providing the best possible personalised care to people in the region.
